Architectural and planning principles for the optimization of open spaces in residential and public development Durmanov, V. The article analyzes modern architectural and planning principles for optimizing open spaces in residential and public developments. Drawing on international experience from cities such as Copenhagen, London, and New York, it explores strategies for creating comfortable, inclusive, and sustainable urban environments. Particular attention is given to academic frameworks by Jan Gehl, Matthew Carmona, and the Project for Public Spaces (PPS), emphasizing human-centered design and social engagement. The quality of open spaces is shown to depend on accessibility, functionality, social interaction, and adaptability to change. Socio-technological aspects of architectural and planning organization of urban spaces Дурманов, Володимир Юрійович; Durmanov, V. The article is devoted to the study of socio-technological aspects of the architectural and planning organization of urban spaces in the context of modern urban challenges. The paper reveals the interrelation between social needs of the population – inclusivity, safety, mobility, and cultural identity – and technological innovations, including digital modeling, intelligent monitoring systems, energy-efficient solutions, and automated infrastructural systems. Methodological approaches are proposed for developing flexible architectural and planning solutions oriented toward human-centered design and sustainable urban development. The results of the study can be applied to improve urban design practices, municipal management, and the implementation of smart city technologies. Статтю присвячено дослідженню соціально-технологічних аспектів архітектурно-планувальної організації міських просторів у контексті сучасних урбаністичних викликів. У роботі розкрито взаємозв’язок між соціальними потребами населення – інклюзивністю, безпекою, мобільністю, культурною ідентичністю – та технологічними інноваціями, зокрема цифровим моделюванням, інтелектуальними системами моніторингу, енергоефективними рішеннями й автоматизованими інфраструктурними рішеннями. Запропоновано методологічні підходи до формування гнучких архітектурно-планувальних рішень, орієнтованих на людину й сталий розвиток міського середовища. Результати дослідження можуть бути використані для удосконалення практик урбаністичного проєктування, муніципального управління та впровадження smart city-технологій. Durmanov V.
