Описано унікальний освітній досвід безпосередньої участі студентів-філологів у військово-тактичному тренуванні, під час якого вони виконують функції усних перекладачів у процесі інструктажів, брифінгів, тактичних сценаріїв, міжпідрозділової взаємодії та моделювання кризових ситуацій. The article is devoted to the study of an innovative educational format for training military interpreters that involves integrating real military-tactical (field-based/scenario-based) training into the process of teaching English oral interpretation to philology students. The relevance of the study is determined by the growing role of military interpreting in the context of international military cooperation, joint exercises, and security operations, as well as by the mismatch between traditional classroom-based interpreter training and real conditions of professional practice. The article analyzes contemporary scholarly approaches to the use of simulations, role-playing, and innovative technologies in translation education and examines the impact of stress on cognitive and linguistic processes. A unique educational experience is described in which philology students directly participate in military-tactical training and perform the functions of oral interpreters during instructions, briefings, tactical scenarios, inter-unit interaction, and the simulation of crisis situations. The results of observations, video analysis, and comparative interpreting tasks indicate the presence of a measurable learning effect manifested in increased speed and stability of oral interpretation, a reduction in linguistic disruptions, greater confidence in professional spoken communication, and the development of skills for professional interaction with military specialists. Проаналізовано її структурні особливості, динаміку розвитку та фактори, що впливають на формування військових термінів. Особливу увагу приділено аналізу основних способів словотворення в англійській військовій лексиці, серед яких афіксація, конверсія, композиція та скорочення. Визначено, що ці словотворчі механізми сприяють гнучкості й адаптації військової термінології до сучасних умов комунікації. Вказано на проблеми перекладу військової лексики, зокрема труднощі відтворення абревіатур, акронімів, ідіоматичних виразів і евфемізмів. Підкреслено, що військові терміни часто не мають точних еквівалентів в інших мовах, що ускладнює їхню передачу без втрати семантичного та емоційного забарвлення. У статті розглянуто підходи до перекладу таких лексичних одиниць, зокрема методи транскрибування, калькування, пояснювального перекладу та адаптації, які дозволяють зберегти точність і зрозумілість інформації. Також досліджено явище запозичення військових термінів в українську мову внаслідок міжнародної співпраці, військової допомоги та інформаційного обміну. Зазначено, що ці запозичення часто адаптуються до граматичних і фонетичних норм української мови, формуючи новий пласт термінології. У статті виокремлено соціолінгвістичний аспект, а саме проникнення військової лексики у мовлення цивільного населення, що відображає вплив сучасних військових конфліктів на лінгвістичну картину світу. У висновках наголошено, що військова лексика є динамічною та багатокомпонентною системою, яка зазнає постійних змін під впливом технологічного прогресу, розвитку тактичних стратегій та міжкультурної взаємодії. Підкреслено, що переклад військової термінології залишається актуальним завданням, яке вимагає високої точності, лінгвістичної компетентності та глибокого розуміння контексту. The article is devoted to the study of military vocabulary as a distinct linguistic subsystem that includes terms related both to combat operations and everyday life. The structural features, dynamics of development, and factors influencing the formation of military terminology are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the primary word-formation processes in English military vocabulary, such as a੦xation, conversion, composition, and abbreviation. It has been determined that the above mentioned mechanisms contribute to the flexibility and adaptability of military terminology in modern communication contexts. The challenges of translating military vocabulary, particularly the di੦culties in rendering abbreviations, acronyms, idiomatic expressions, and euphemisms are singled out as well. It is emphasized that military terms often lack precise equivalents in other languages, making their accurate translation di੦cult without losing semantic and emotional connotations. The article examines approaches to translating such lexical units, including transcription, calculation, explanatory translation, and adaptation, which help maintain the accuracy and clarity of information. Additionally, the phenomenon of borrowing military terms into the Ukrainian language due to international cooperation, military assistance, and information exchange is explored. It is noted that these borrowings are often adapted to the grammatical and phonetic norms of the Ukrainian language, forming a new layer of specialized terminology. Special attention is given to the sociolinguistic aspect, particularly the penetration of military vocabulary into civilian speech, reflecting the impact of modern military conflicts on the linguistic environment. The conclusions highlight that military vocabulary is a dynamic and multi-component system that continuously evolves under the influence of technological advancements, the development of tactical strategies, and intercultural interaction.
