«Воля до правди зробить вас вільними»: журналіст Станіслав Асєєв – в’язень сучасного концтабору

Abstract

У статті досліджено роботу кореспондента української редакції радіо «Свобода» Станіслава Асєєва під час російської окупації. Показано, що ціною за роботу медійників на окупованих територіях є постійна загроза їхній безпеці, здоров’ю та життю. Історія С. Асєєва, який упродовж кількох років надсилав матеріали різним українським редакціям із території самопроголошеної «ДНР», демонструє, що за таких обставин журналістика вимагає не лише професіоналізму, але й неабиякої громадянської мужності. Описано досвід журналіста, який в умовах продовження російсько-української війни став уважним хронікером цього затяжного конфлікту та однією з тисяч його жертв. Детально розглянуто матеріали, які С. Асєєв написав для української редакції радіо «Свобода» за кілька років роботи на тимчасово окупованій території України та які увійшли до збірки «В ізоляції». Простежено, як С. Асєєв у документальному романі «“Світлий шлях”». Історія одного концтабору» розповідає про жахливі умови ув’язнення, тортури, наголошуючи, що важливість свободи слова як фундаменту журналістики в умовах тюрми набуває особливого сенсу, коли пізнається реальна ціна, яку доводиться заплатити за написання незалежних текстів. Ув’язнення журналістів – один із страшних наслідків російської військової агресії щодо України. Загарбники ведуть відкриту війну з незалежними журналістами та редакціями, для того щоби світ не довідався правди про реальну ситуацію на окупованих територіях. Продемонстровано, що матеріали, які підготував С. Асєєв за цей час, – унікальні свідчення очевидця, який фіксує все, що відбувається довкола, а також намагається проаналізувати й дати свою оцінку. Залишившись у Донецьку, С. Асєєв також привернув увагу до медійного середовища, до проблеми особистого вибору, громадянської позиції журналіста в умовах війни. The article examines the work of Stanislav Aseyev, the correspondent of the Ukrainian editorial office of Radio Liberty, during the Russian occupation. It is shown that the price for the work of media people in the occupied territories is a constant threat to their safety, health, and life. The story of S. Aseyev, who for several years sent materials to various Ukrainian editorial offices from the territory of the self-proclaimed «DPR» shows that in such circumstances, journalism requires not only professionalism but also great civic courage. The experience of a journalist who, in the conditions of the continuation of the Russo-Ukrainian War, became an attentive chronicler of this protracted conflict and one of its thousands of victims is described. The materials written by S. Aseyev for the Ukrainian editorial office of Radio Liberty during several years of work in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and included in the collection "In Isolation" are considered in detail. It is traced how S. Aseev in the documentary novel «Light Way»: the story of one concentration camp» describes the appalling conditions of imprisonment and torture, emphasizing that the importance of freedom of speech as the foundation of journalism acquires a special meaning in prison when the actual price to pay for writing independent texts is known. The imprisonment of journalists is one of the terrible consequences of Russia's military aggression against Ukraine. The invaders are waging an open war with independent journalists and editorial offices so that the world does not learn the truth about the actual situation in the occupied territories. It has been shown that the materials prepared by S. Aseev during this time are unique testimonies of an eyewitness who records everything that happens around him, as well as tries to analyze and give his assessment. Remaining in Donetsk, S. Aseev also drew attention to the media environment, the problem of personal choice, the civic position of the journalist in wartime.
